Competing in E.G.O Invitational tournament (wrist lock finish)

Here is a video of one one of my competition matches at the Extreme Grappling Open. I had a lot of fun against a tough opponent. James and Aj Clingerman always do a great job with their EGO tournaments.

I used to hate wrist locks, because I would always get caught with them. Now I am pretty sure both my wrist are fucked up for like, but that also made me good at defending them.

But I must say, I have not seen this little gem before, I have a no gi comp coming up so am going to try and add that to my game.

        So simple. Yet so effective.

        Thanks Chewy

P.S Didn’t know your name was Nick

Yeah, I never really intended on becoming a wrist lock person but for some reason in 2012 I hit a bunch of them in competition and in training. Even if you don’t use them for the finish, they’re great for making the person feel uneasy with their hand placement.

Hope that you hit the move on someone. Hopefully though, you don’t hurt their wrists . 😉

Yeah my real name is Nick. No one from the MMA / BJJ community calls me that though. I’ve had a few students call me Nick while in the gym and it feels strange.
